The short answer
For a wearable heat and vibration massager, around 15 minutes per session is a sensible length. That is why the Vibraflex is programmed to switch off automatically after 15 minutes.
Session lengths by type
- Wearable heat and vibration belt: 10–15 minutes
- Massage gun: 1–2 minutes per muscle group, avoiding the spine
- Shiatsu cushion: 15 minutes, check the manufacturer's timer
- Heat pad: follow the manufacturer's guidance and never fall asleep on it
How often?
Many people use a short session once or twice a day — for example after work and before bed. Leave time between sessions for your skin to cool if you are using heat.
Signs you should stop
- Skin becomes very red, sore or blistered
- Numbness, tingling or increased pain
- Dizziness or feeling unwell
- Discomfort that does not ease once you stop
More is not better
Longer or stronger sessions do not bring more benefit and can irritate the skin or muscles. Consistency — a short, comfortable session most days — matters more than intensity.
